Eicr (electrical installation condition report ) is basically a M.O.T for your property's electrical system through inspection and testing it reports what condition your property's electrical system is in and the same as a mot is will either pass or fail and you get a list of faults or improvements that can be made.Even if your property's electrical are working there still can be faults on the system that a Eicr will find. Also if you are going to rent your property most estate agents will want in date EICR report before putting up for let. How often should a EICR be done well it is recommend in BS7671 that a maximum number of years between inspections is domestic property 10 years, rented property 5 years, commercial 5 years unless stated different on you operating conditions
